Chulaínn

Chulaínn is a former feudal world, now quarantined and marked as forbidden by the Inquisition.

A planet of moors, mountains, oceans and forests, the only human settlement of note was the great fortress-monastery of Chulaínn Dùn, home to the Hounds of Chulaínn. Carved from a mountain made of a single chunk of an unusual alloy, the fortress extended as far below ground as it did above.

The warlike nomad peoples of Chulaínn were guided in their decisions by the Librarians and Chaplains of the space marine chapter – the High Fíorscoth of the Hounds was the nominal planetary governor. Since the quarantine of the planet, the remaining civilian population survives as serfs aboard the Hound’s fleet – the transition to void-faring life has not been easy, and it is rumoured that the heretical worship of the daemons Daghda, Mabb and Balor has again begun to spread, despite the best efforts of the Hounds chaplains.
